Land of the Bible: the Galilee
Come along on a journey to Galilee as we travel the region with two experts on Israel. Meet fisherman from the Sea of Galilee, and travel the Sea by boat. Visit Nazareth and Capernaum, and stop by the ruins of ancient Bible-era cities. Walk where King Saul and Elijah walked, and see where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Visualize Bible events in the settings where they took place.
Join one of two journey groups for this eight week summer adventure,
Land of the Bible: the Galilee
Sundays, July 11 - August 29 in the library (9 - 10 am in July; 9:30 - 10:30 am in August)
Thursdays, July 15 - September 2 at the home of Janet and Ernie Brockmann (7 pm)
Each week we will visit different locations, so we invite you to join us, even if you can not make every session. (You may even alternate days, if needed to fit your schedule.) This is a great opportunity to "color in" your mental pictures of Bible happenings.
Note: No preparation is needed, and we encourage school aged children and teens to come on this journey with us.
For more information, call Sarah Nagy (328-5160), Janet Brockmann (762-1880), or Linda McFarland (762-1297).
Men's Study Group
Slow, men at work.
Slow men at work!
A simple comma can make so much difference.
The Friday morning men’s fellowship class will finally finish “Mere Christianity” on Friday June 18th.
We are starting a new book on June 25th.
Our next challenge is “The Shack”. This was passed unanimously on the 12th, but Ernie wasn’t there. Being from West Virginia, he’ll just think it is about his old neighborhood.
Seriously, this book will challenge our perspective on the Trinity as well as why God allows bad stuff in the world. We also always get in some prayer time.
If you are male between 18 and 99, we would welcome you to join us any Friday. June 25th or July 2nd would be great times to start.
Good food. Good friends. Good fellowship. And a bonus of spiritual growth.
Friday, 6:30 AM in the church Parlor. Breakfast provided.
