Children's Ministry

Jesus said, "Let the little children come

to me and do not hinder them, for to such

belongs the kingdom of heaven."

Each child is a unique image-bearer of God and they are valued at the Presbyterian Church of Waynesboro. We encourage their participation in the life of the church and offer a variety of programs to help nurture them as they grow into the people God made them to be.

CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

Worship services are for the whole family of God, children included. We invite and encourage all children to attend worship with their parents. In worship children are connecting with God in their own way and are learning from the adults around them that this is a sacred activity. We don't mind if they wiggle a bit because we know God put the wiggle there! Children's Worship Kits are provided at the entrances to the Sanctuary to help keep children engaged during the service. If parents prefer, or if a child is having "one of those days" we also provide a clean, comfortable nursery, staffed with caring adults for children up through age 4.

SUNDAY SCHOOL KID CONNECTION

Every Sunday morning from 9-10am Children grades K-6 gather for a time of singing and learning together in our Elementary room upstairs before breaking into smaller groups of K-3 and 4-6. In Kid Connection, children will be engaging the bible to learn about this great story of redemption in Jesus Christ and how they fit into it. Kid Connection uses crafts, games, songs, and drama to reinforce the lessons.

SUNDAY MORNING NURSERY

For children from birth through pre-K we offer a safe, comfortable nursery staffed with caring adults. In the nursery children will be introduced to some simple Bible stories and songs. The nursery is available during both the education hour and worship.

CHILDREN'S CHOIR

The Psalmist tells us to "Make a joful noice to the Lord!" (Psalm 100:1). And that's what our Children's Choir is all about: connecting children from Kindergarten through 3rd grade to God through music. Through weekly rehearsal times and opportunities to sing in worship, the children's choir instills a love of music and teaches children about God and the variety of ways we worship him.
